<<Singles Dark Match>>
Visper Karr (O) vs. Beryl Irving (X)
Running Face Kick, 8:27, 75%
A decent match between the relatively inexperienced Visper Karr and the extremely inexperienced Beryl Irving. Beryl relied mostly on sleeper holds and elbow shots early on, moving to back drops and German suplexes later in the match. However, all the German suplexes in the world couldn’t help her withstand the kick- and suplex-based offense of Visper. Karr kicked the crap out of Beryl, and then nailed a Running Face Kick to pick up the easy 3.

[Visper:] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Outbreak!

[Visper:] You’re not Dusty Rhoades; cut it out.
[Jr.:] You never let me have any fun.
[Visper:] I know.
[Jr.:] Meanie.
[Visper:] Anyway. We’ve got the biggest Outbreak ever just ahead. FORSAKEN is (potentially) right around the corner, and given the unique rules of the Main Event, management felt it necessary to rig something up to establish the order that the competitors will enter the match. So, they decided to do it with wrestling.
[Jr.:] Hah! It’ll never work.
[Visper:] I know. Showcasing wrestling on a wrestling program? Totally novel idea.
[Jr.:] Nah, nah… nah we goin’ have some wrasslin’--
[Visper:] Cut it out. Seriously.
[Jr.:] Bah!
[Visper:] Now, the only thing that Colleen, Phil, Galcian, and Matt Shane have to do, is win their matches in the quickest time possible.
[Jr.:] But, what if they lose?
[Visper:] Then they’re last, and might not even get a shot at winning the match.
[Jr.:] Okay. But, what if more than one person loses?
[Visper:] Then they’re put behind the winners, and then in order of the time they lasted in their matches.
[Jr.:] I see.
[Visper:] So simple it’s stupid. So, um… what say we start one of those matches now?
[Jr.:] Nah dat right deer is a dangol’ goo’ idea!
[Visper:] Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr…………………
Shocknina’s Woman’s Cry brought Colleen to the ring, with Zachary Valentine right beside her. Colleen was looking less then pleased at God knows what, but she rolled into the ring and grabbed a mic.
[Colleen:] What in the hell is wrong with this company, when their one true st--
Zachary stopped Colleen and politely took the microphone from her.
[Zachary:] What The Living Venus means to say is, that she doesn’t understand why she is participating in the opening match of this show. As the New Damage Prowrestling superstar that went through the toughest two opponents in the NDP Championship Series – Gene Starr and Mr. E, for those not keeping score – Colleen should rightfully be higher up on the card, if not in the main event. And yet, here we are, curtain-jerking. It’s an outrage!
The crowd starts chanting “Shut the fuck up! *clap clap clapclapclap*” at Zachary, and Colleen yells at them to shut up. Zachary begins to talk, but the crowd is absolutely tearing into them, so he simply gives up, tosses the microphone away, and exits the ring. Colleen stands in the center of the ring, looking quite confident, when she hears the pounding of VNV Nation. Expecting Galcian to be her opponent, her expression changes to fear, but Ramirez emerges from behind the curtain and Colleen’s smile returns with a laugh. However, Galcian and Belleza enter just behind Ramirez, and Colleen looks shaken. She turns around to talk to Zachary, who is yelling something about “unfair”, and Ramirez takes this opportunity, running to the ring and attacking the distracted Colleen!
<<Time Challenge Singles Match>>
“The Living Venus” Colleen (w/ Zachary Valentine)
vs.
Ryan Ramirez (w/ Galcian and Belleza)
Ramirez surprised Colleen by attacking from behind (something she frequently enjoys, according to Generallisimo McBlackMage), and then using quick European uppercuts and chops to wear away at her. Ramirez turned most every move Colleen would throw at him into a pin or submission predicament, until Colleen rolled out of a hurricanrana into her HalfTamer, right in the center of the ring. Colleen had the HalfTamer locked in, bending Ramirez’ neck at a bad angle, for a good 30 seconds until the wiry bastard somehow twisted the HalfTamer into his giant swing!
With both down, Colleen managed to get up first, going at Ramirez with some brutal kicks – shades of her match against Gene Starr. Ramirez’ overselling nearly prompted the ref to check if Colleen’s boat was loaded this time, but Colleen changed up her attack, going into a few backbreakers and the Spinning Chamber! Colleen maintained control until Ramirez reversed – of all things – an Oklahoma stampede attempt into a sick-looking reverse DDT that smashed Colleen right on top of her noggin.
Ramirez sped the pace back to his liking, using a lot of Irish whip and running moves, a handful of flash pins, and just a bunch of generally annoying offense (which might’ve been more offensive to the crowd than it was to Colleen (hah hah hah. Indy garbage wrestlers)) before snagging Colleen in the Silver Binds, nearly wrenching Colleen’s arm out of socket (WITH NO PRIOR ARMWORK, YAY!) until Zach managed to incite Galcian and Belleza, causing distraction enough for Zach to sneak in behind the ref’s back and smack Ramirez in the head WITH THAT DAMNED LOADED BOOT!! Colleen rolled over for the pin, but realizing what was going on, Galcian and Belleza continued to distract the ref. This led to the whole lot getting kicked out of ringside; Galcian, Belleza, Zachary, and his damn boot.
By the time the ref finally got order restored, Ramirez had long kicked-out. He tried to lock in the Silver Eclipse, but Colleen wormed her way out of it and nailed the Full Nelson Atomic Bomb. Colleen whipped Ramirez to the ropes, and Rami came back with a Sunset Flip Bomb (think “Mistico”) for an extreme near-fall (we’re talkin’ about 2.95.) Ramirez looked wiped out, but managed somehow to barely kick out after Colleen had him up for a suplex, dropped him down onto the ropes so he bounced off like a slingshot suplex, but twisted him around to a slingshot jackhammer. Yes, you read that right. Ramirez kicks out at two-and-a-half, and luckily Colleen doesn’t proceed to pounce and snarl at the crowd. But, unfortunately, not enough sense to not argue with the ref about the call.
As a pissed-off Colleen argued pointlessly with the referee, Ramirez managed to get back to his feet. Looking to once again use Colleen’s own distracted attention, Ramirez grabbed Colleen and spun her around, going for something, but never got the chance as Colleen got all KICK-WHAM-STUNNER!!!! on him. Colleen covered, and got the 1, 2, 3.
Colleen wins by pinfall
Time: 14.50
Rating: 89%
Colleen has the referee raise her hand, and she smiles widely, pulls her hand away, and straightens her hair before exiting the ring and heading to the back, motioning across her waist that the belt is coming home.
--Commercial break--
[Visper:] Our next contest in the Time Challenge is Galcian. But, unlike the last match where Colleen and Galcian were both followed out by their parties, ARMADA has been told to stay in the back, so Galcian will be going this one alone.
As if on cue, Carbon plays inside Viking Hall once again, and Galcian comes to the ring, looking to do tha damn thang. He enters the ring and awaits his opponent. Ave del Dolor heads to the ring, I guess looking serious, although that mask makes it hard to tell. I, um… forgot Ave’s entrance music, so… my bad. n_n;
<<Time Challenge Singles Match>>
Galcian
vs.
Ave del Dolor
Time to beat: 14.50 [set by Colleen]
Team Ryder’s Frog was originally scheduled for this match-up, but his recently signed Pro-Wrestling WILD contract expressly forbids being squashed by 280-plus-pound Canadians. So, smart move there by Jo Ryder.
The technico Ave del Dolor didn’t waste a whole lot of time going on the attack, focusing on Galcian’s neck with headlock takedowns and neckbreakers. He got overzealous with an attempted northern lights suplex, though, and got spiked like a bracelet from Hot Topic with a big DDT. Galcian simply started throwing Ave around – quite an impressive feat, given their comparable size – letting the suplexes and headbutts fly. Ave tried to escape to the comfort of the outside, but to no avail. Galcian followed him out and kindly introduced Ave to the guard rails and ring posts.
After tossing Ave back in, the match evened up. Both men tried to put their submission skills to work – Galcian going for simple but effective holds and Ave trying for some crazy-ass stuff you’ll really only find in lucha – but neither could get a damn thing locked in as their opponent was just beingtoo much of an ass too tenacious for them to accomplish even a sleeper hold. Galcian finally got tired of screwing around and went back to what worked; suplexing the hell out of the Ave. Belly-to-backs, gutwrenches, good ol’ brainbusters… you name it, Galcian probably messed Ave around with it, plus some more headbutts for good measure. Ave damn near got pinned by Galcian’s wild bomb, but kicked out just in time.
Ave tried to mount an offense with an uranage, but Galcian wouldn’t go down that easily, pulling a worn Ave to his feet and crushing him with the Devolver. Going for the pin, Galcian got rolled up by Ave, but kicked out at two and a half!
Back to their feet, Ave and Galcian traded Deadly Back Drops, but the difference maker was Galcian following his up with a standing crossface, trying to separate Ave’s head from his shoulders, before rolling back and putting Ave down on the mat with all of Galcian’s leverage right above him, in some kind of fucked-up super-painful ground headlock-type maneuver. With nowhere to go and no other option, Ave started flailing his arm, getting a blank stare at the referee until the Ave remembered that he wasn’t wrestling in CMLL right now and quickly tapped out.
Galcian wins by submission
Time: 15.23
Rating: 72%
After releasing his submission hold, Galcian kicks Ave out of the ring and down to the floor, and grabs a mic from ringside.
[Galcian:] I might not have the fastest time heading into the main event of FORSAKEN, but in the end, it won’t matter. You see, no matter what, to become the NDP Champion at FORSAKEN, someone is going to have to go through me. And as this lucha can attest, going through me is going to be a greater feat than any of my opponents can fathom. I will crush my opponents at FORSAKEN, I will begin my eternal reign as the New Damage Prowrestling Champion, and you all will bow… before… me.
Galcian releases the mic and exits the ring, heading to the back.
--Commercial break--
[Visper:] Galcian’s match with Ave del Dolor obviously went longer than Galcian had hoped, as the tenacious technico just wouldn’t go down. Galcian’s match lasted 15:23 and Galcian just narrowly missed his mark of 14:50 or earlier. So, Colleen’s time in the Time Challenge is still the time to beat. But, I think that if anyone can beat that time, it’s the next man to step up to the challenge; Team Ryder’s Phil Buster.
[Jr.:] Phil Buster certainly has his work cut out for him, but the Technical King can wear you down and beat you before you even realize what has happened. The only issue might come from Phil Buster’s membership with Team Ryder. There’s a lot of heat between management and Jo Ryder from what was rumored to be a failed take-over attempt of NDP by Jo Ryder, so Phil has to stay on his toes to make sure that he doesn’t end up having to face… THE MIDNIGHT RIDER!!!
[Visper:] … You’re such a moron.
[Jr.:] HAH! Lann Avery, Jr.: 1 – Insightful analysis: 0.
<<Time Challenge Singles Match>>
“Technical King” Phil Buster
vs.
“The Reel Heel” Chris Michaels
Time to beat: 14.50 [set by Colleen]
Through either hubris or lack of scouting, Chris Michaels approached this match entirely wrong. Whereas Chris Michaels tried to use his generic “heavyweight that wrestles like a light-heavyweight” offense throughout the match, he wasn’t able to gain control of the Technical King for any extended period of time, and was extremely susceptible to Phil’s stretches and joint locks.
Chris Michaels, when he got in offense, would target the neck and upper body of Phil, setting up for his Chick Magnet. Most of his offense consisted of punches and suplexes, as Phil just wouldn’t let him get anything else in. Phil constantly put Michaels in any of a variety of submissions, ranging from simple leg crucifixes to more complex, nearly-lucha submissions, just wearing down Michaels’ resistance. A big point in the match happened after Chris Michaels had dumped Phil over the ropes with a back body drop. Seeming to be in control, the cocky Michaels sauntered to the ringside area, expecting to wear down Phil and pick up the win – as well as a name for himself in NDP. Instead, he was greeted by Phil Buster’s German friend; Herr Rolling German Suplex. Phil Buster nailed four big Germans on the outside, busting Michaels up pretty fierce, heading back in and taking a breather as Michaels lay half-dead on the outside. When Michaels finally got back up, he rolled back in under the ropes just time to avoid being counted out.
Phil started taking it a bit easier on Michaels here, but Michaels took the first short-cut he could think of; he distracted the referee, kicked Phil in his happy place, then nailed him with a Russian facebuster. Unfortunately, Chris Michaels isn’t the King of the Mountain, and wasn’t able to get the three-count. He got up, mounted the turnbuckle and attempted a moonsault. Phil moved out of the way in time, and Michaels managed to land on his feet, his back to Phil, and was introduced to two more Germans. At this point, Phil put Michaels in the tree of woe and started nailing Michaels’ knees with some heavy punches, nailed an odd little kneebuster that saw Phil put Michaels up like a waterwheel drop and then bring Michaels to the mat knees first, and then Phil locked in what could best be described as a Rolling Philibuster, and Michaels tapped like a Morse Code station.
Please, tell me you got that.

[Jr.:] That I’m a moron and that I should be ashamed of myself.

[Visper:] … Yeah…
[Jr.:] Awkward.

Matt Shane runs to the ring, Cataclysmic Clash blaring over the PA, with the crowd on their feet and cheering. He stands in the middle of the ring, waiting for his mystery opponent, when Atomship’s Time for Peoplehits the PA.
[Visper:] Victor Harris? Against the NDP Champion?
[Jr.:] I think someone’s funnin’ us.
[Visper:] Nope. It will indeed be Victor Harris facing Matt Shane in the Time Challenge.
[Jr.:] This could be a big match for Victor Harris. If he beats Matt Shane, he’ll definitely find himself jumping up to main event status, regardless of if he beats Gene Starr at FORSAKEN or not.
[Visper:] Yeah, but this could also hurt him quite a bit heading into FORSAKEN, softening him up quite nicely for Gene Starr.
[Jr.:] Very true. He’ll just have to be careful. But aggressive!
[Visper:] Careful, but aggressive?
[Jr.:] Yeah!
[Visper:] Sure thing.
<<Time Challenge Singles Match>>
Champion Matt Shane
vs.
“Demon Fox” Victor Harris
Time to beat: 13.25 [set by Phil Buster]
This indeed is Victor Harris’ chance to prove himself here in NDP, and if he can even have just a good showing – let alone beat the NDP Champion – his career will certainly take off.
Matt and Vic tie-up in the center of the ring as the bell sounds, and Matt and Victor have a quick little chain-wrestling series, stare-down to a crowd pop, and they go right back into it. Victor takes control with a side headlock, Matt brings them into the ropes and shoves Vic off into a shoulder throw. Matt follows up with a couple lariats, Manhattan drop, FLASHING ELBOW~.
Two backdrops from Matt Shane lead to a German suplex, two-count. Vertical suplex from Matt Shane, tries to roll into a second but Victor hooks his leg with Matt’s and delivers a vertical suplex of his own, tries to roll into a second but changes direction in mid-air, going for the Rose Whip, but Matt spins around in the inverted headlock and turns it into a northern lights suplex for two!
Matt pulls Victor to his feet, but Victor drops down and takes Matt Shane to the mat with a double leg takedown, shifting over into a Boston crab. Matt Shane starts scrambling to the ropes, Victor Harris trying to keep him from getting there, pulling back to the middle of the ring and quickly switching from the Boston crab to an STF! It ain’t the prettiest STF, but he’s showing that he has at least some ability to use submission moves. Victor keeps the STF locked in as Matt tries to break the facelock, only for the facelock to start smothering him, and the referee forces a break. Victor, in control for the first time in the match up, tries for a bow and arrow backbreaker but doesn’t have his hands positioned right and ends up launching Matt Shane into a body press, garnering Shane a two-count!
Matt and Victor brawl for a moment, Victor backing Matt up into the corner and laying in, getting a right blocked and being forced back by the Champion, and Matt Shane goes in with shoulder blocks. Victor Harris gets a knee up and Matt rams right into it, Vic spins Matt into the corner, sets him up top and nails the Iconoclasm!! Victor takes a moment to recover, then mounts the turnbuckle, looking to follow up with a diving leg drop, but took too much time as Matt Shane knocks the rope out from under his legs, crotching him on the top turnbuckle and hitting the Muscle Buster! One, two, three!!
Matt Shane wins by pinfall
Time: 9.55
Rating: 77%
[Visper:] Matt Shane has totally blown Phil Buster’s time out of the water, meaning that Matt Shane will be the first person to enter the Rolling Two-Falls Match for the NDP Championship at FORSAKEN!
[Jr.:] This is a big deal for Matt Shane, and it means that he could easily leave FORSAKEN as NDP Champion in the first two falls!
[Visper:] Matt Shane will start off against Phil Buster, and Colleen will enter after that. Matt Shane could put them both away and walk out NDP Champion before Galcian gets involved.
[Jr.:] But, before that, they’ll all have to make it to FORSAKEN. We’ve just been informed on the next Outbreak, Matt Shane will be facing one of his opponents at FORSAKEN in singles competition. Which opponent it will be, however – Colleen, Galcian, or Phil Buster – will be selected randomly at the beginning of the show. No matter which way that ends out, it’s sure to be a classic.
[Visper:] See you all, um… eventually!!

Phil Buster wins by submission

[Visper:] Well, what’d I tell ya?
[Jr.:] That I’m a moron and that I should be ashamed of myself.
[Visper:] Well, that, too. I meant about Phil Buster beating Colleen’s time, actually.
[Jr.:] Oh…
[Visper:] … Yeah…
[Jr.:] Awkward.
--Commercial break--
Matt Shane runs to the ring, Cataclysmic Clash blaring over the PA, with the crowd on their feet and cheering.
