New Year, No Limits Night 3
January 4, 2009
Wachovia Arena, Scranton, PA
Scranton's Wachovia Arena hosted the final show in the "New Year, No Limits" tour, and as the show began, boss Mr. Paul came out to make an announcement regarding a change to the main event. Mr. Paul said that since there was such a huge response to Kazen winning the Light-Heavyweight Championship, that the rematch between Kazen and former Champion 50CENTAVOS would be tonight's main event. This drew Colleen and Zachary Valentine out of hiding, who denounced the decision and demanded that Colleen's match become the main event. Mr. Paul said he would, so long as Colleen defended the NDP Championship. Zachary told Mr. Paul that he had a better idea; Colleen'll just take the night off! Mr. Paul said if she did, then she should just hand him that NDP Championship title on her way out. Colleen fumed, and said that if it meant so much to him, she'd let the "lightweights" have their day in the sun - but that Mr. Paul better not forget who his Champion is.
As a newcomer in New Damage Prowrestling, it's important to make a strong first impression. Luchadore import El Soñador made his first impression by coming out to the ring with this really obnoxious song that sounded like a Portugese chick yelling through a megaphone over a backbeat ripped off from Alice in Chains. Not a great start. Vic tried to wrestle a straight match against the luchadore, but that went out of the window as soon as the two tumbled to the outside. El Soñador went and started digging around under the ring, busting out a table and some chairs, and business certainly picked up. Things got kinda crazy, and during the ensuing chaos the table was set up in the ring and El Soñador and Vic were fighting it out, El Soñador went swingin' for Victor, but Vic ducked and went for a back drop, flipping El Soñador over in the air and El Soñador belly-flopped into the table! Vic covered, and got the three!

Princess Aika and Akira Blaze continued their quest to be good tag partners tonight, but they still haven't managed to pull it off just yet. A lot of miscommunication led to them almost losing the match on a few occasions, and it's only through individual efforts that they won. Midnite Rave started tripling up on Princess Aika and Akira Blaze, and as the two of them tried to fight off the Ravers, all cohesion between the two broke down. Special K (who was outside as E-rol and Pixi's second) almost had this one in the bag for Midnite Rave when he had Akira Blaze on the ring stairs and went for his MDMAxe Kick [Scissor Kick] only for Akira to move out of the way and leave Special K to kick the ring stairs, making it impossible for him to come to E-rol and Pixi's help as Akira rallied back into the match, upending E-rol and catching him in the ropes as Princess Aika delivered some Flash Magic [Diving Enzui Knee] to Pixi Stik, pinning the "sugar raver" for the win!

Holly Walker and The Charcoal Lady tied it up next. Except replace "tied it up" with "beat the shit out of each other". The two didn't "wrestle" so much as they pounded and punched and kicked and elbowed and kneed each other. In fact, the first wrestling-style moves didn't start being used until The Charcoal Lady DDT'd Holly. They started mixing in some wrestling moves with their brawling at this point, but they mainly continued to beat the shit out of their opponent, but a big rolling German suplex from The Charcoal Lady sent Holly flying over the top rope and crashing to the outside. Holly got back up around the 8-count, staggering back to the ring, AND THERE GOES THE CHARCOAL LADY! Beautiful plancha from The Charcoal Lady connects with Holly Walker, sending them both tumbling to the floor! The Charcoal Lady and Holly keep pounding at each other as they get up from the floor, and as they make their way to the ring to get in by the count, Holly grabs Charcoal by her hair and slams her into the pole, with Holly sliding in at the 18, and the lights cut out! After a moment, one of the spotlights from the ceiling click on, highlighting a caped and masked figure standing on the turnbuckle-- it's Tuxedo Kazen! Tuxedo Kazen tosses his hat to the side, and dives off the turnbuckle, taking down Holly Walker (and since it's dark aside from the spotlight, the referee naturally didn't see a thing!) and Tuxedo Kazen slides out and helps The Charcoal Lady back into the ring, and the spotlight shuts off, bringing back the house lights, and Tuxedo Kazen has disappeared! Holly and Charcoal get back at it, and it's Holly with a punch to the throat and a kick to the chest that gets the upper hand, and she grabs The Charcoal Lady in a rolling cradle-- round and round and round and round and round she goes, and The Charcoal Lady gets pinned for the one, for the two, and for the three!!

Toby Yoyo came to the ring for this next match against Gene Starr with G-Unit main man 50CENTAVOS, which wouldn't be a bad idea if 50CENTAVOS didn't have a match for the Light-Heavyweight Championship later tonight, and if Gene Starr wouldn't kick FIDDY's face in for getting mixed up in the match. At any rate, the MDWF Champion and FIDDY's enforcer went pretty smash-mouth in this here match, delivering crushing blows to each other while tossing each other around like rag dolls. A gutwrench throw from Toby saw Gene being tossed outside of the ring, and as FIDDY prepared to help his buddy out by dealing Gene some damage, Gene got to his feet and dared 50CENTAVOS to try it - but the distraction was all Toby really needed, and he came flying from the ring with a springboard missile dropkick to Gene's chest, knocking him back about five feet! Toby got Gene to his feet and started punishing the MDWF Champion with lariats and a nasty back drop, but both men got back into the ring around the 13 count so they could continue beating on each other. A nasty spear from Yoyo almost got the 3 on Gene, but Gene started putting together some slick strike combos to rock Toby, sending Toby for the safety of the ropes, but gene was unrelenting, hitting elbows and knees to Toby, taking him down and locking in a sharp shooter, but FIDDY had the ref distracted and unable to see Toby Yoyo tapping out from the submission. Gene couldn't sustain the move any longer, and seeing FIDDY on the apron, he charged, and Fiddy got out of the way, Gene off the ropes into Toby, Toby tries for a spinebuster, but Gene shoves off and lands on his feet, GENE SPLICER [STO]! But Gene can't get over to cover, with just a few moments left in the match, and this one ends as a time limit draw!
Gene Starr (-) vs (-) Toby Yoyo

INTERMISSION - In an "Intermission Exhibition" match, Nina Edogawa defeated Diva Dynamite with a moonsault in 11:16.
Kaori NiGHT, wearing what appeared to be a new green-and-black outfit, faced off for what we believe to be the first time against resident psycho, Roselyn Pride. And Trent Kasta in that spiffy bear costume followed Roselyn to the ring, but he at least left the costume's head backstage. Back to the match, not the fashion revue, however! Kaori and Roselyn took a big break from the last few matches, not boiling down into a big slugfest, but instead staying pretty close to a technical wrestling match. Roselyn definitely had the advantage when things went to the mat, but off the ropes and in the air, Kaori was the superior combatant, and both ladies got the chance to showcase their skills in this one. Roselyn made it a point to try and stay close to Kaori, dragging the pop starlet to the mat and slapping on one of her array submissions, just trying to wear down NiGHT. Kaori, on the other hand, strived to create distance between the two, using what bit of quickness she had over Roselyn to lay in with dropkicks, flying elbows, DDTs, whatever Kaori could manage to bring from her arsenal - and when that worked well, Kaori would take to the air, springboarding off the ropes or diving from the middle turnbuckles to hit cross body blocks, kicks, even getting a near-fall with the NiGHTSault. The match built and built, with each lady landing higher-risk moves, each pulling more and more out of their arsenal, but in the end it was a missed NiGHTSault from Kaori that allowed Roselyn all the opportunity she needed, and Roselyn locked on with her Summon Suffering [Cobra Hold], and Kaori NiGHT struggled all she could until she passed out from the hold.
Roselyn Pride (O) vs (X) Kaori NiGHT
22:15, Summon Suffering
A lot of nastiness was set to be thrown around the ring during this match, as Jason Wesley and Chapel Hillcrest of the Upper Class Connection took on Adam Galcian and Ivan Vigoro of ARMADA. And while Ryan Ramirez and Erica Belleza coming out in support of their teammates wasn't a surprise, the fact that MDWF Champion Gene Starr came out in the Upper Class Connection's corner was. Jason and Adam started things off, and things got pretty heavy-handed between the two, and they seemed to match each other pretty evenly as they traded punches and some basic submission locks. ARMADA started utilizing tag team tactics earlier, isolating Jason Wesley in their corner, and tagging in and out between the roughneck Galcian and the bruiser Vigoro. Jason fought against the double teaming, but the numbers game started to get to him, and the two big dogs in ARMADA racked up some big damage against Wesley. After a few long minutes, Jason finally dragged himself to make a tag to Chapel, and Hillcrest laid some heavy fire on ARMADA, smashing Galcian and Vigoro with heavy punches, lariats, and a big suplex thrown in for good measure. When the ringside members of ARMADA (well, mostly Ryan Ramirez, really) decided they wanted to get involved, Gene Starr decided to put a stop to it, and he grabbed a chair that Ramirez was trying to use on Hillcrest, and smashed Ramirez with it! This distracted Galcian and Vigoro for a moment, and Chapel took Vigoro out of the ring with a big lariat as Jason spun Galcian around, WRIST CLUTCH EXPLODER!!1 This one is OVAH!

Mr. E started off our sub-main event match strong, as the massive Violence Tenor began rolling over NDP Champion Colleen, punishing the petite Champion from pillar to post with throws and some violent lariats, but Colleen started to get her bearings back and seemed to have a plan for dealing with Mr. E; attack his back. Colleen used punches and kicks to soften Mr. E up, sapping his stamina away with repeated blows to the midsection, and when Mr. E finally toppled down to the mat, Colleen stomped at his back and even took to the air, landing a kind of moonsault knee-drop right square on Mr. E's spine! Colleen nearly picked up the win there, but Mr. E started making a comeback, smashing Colleen with an incredibly destructive lariat that actually caused Colleen to start bleeding from the mouth! Zachary Valentine must've decided this was a good time to earn his paycheck, and he hopped on the apron to get Mr. E's attention, and as the Phenom stalked toward Valentine, Zach reached out and grabbed the mask of Mr. E, yanking it down and causing Mr. E to panic in an effort to replace it! This held Mr. E and the referee up just long enough for Zachary to slide something small and shiny to Colleen, and Colleen gets up and simply smashes Mr. E in the kidney with a huge "shiny" haymaker punch-- and Mr. E is down! Colleen covers, and picks up the 1, 2, 3!
Mr. E (X) vs (O) Colleen
13:39, "Shiny" Haymaker to Kidney
After the match, Colleen takes a moment to admire her "jewelry" before removing it and placing it in her top before the referee can see it. The ref raises her hand in victory and hands her the Championship, grabbed a microphone, and said simply, "NEVER forget who the Champion around here is!"
And just like that, it's time for our main event, and for the NDP Light-Heavyweight Championship at that! 50CENTAVOS lost the Light-Heavyweight Championship just two nights ago at the first New Year No Limits show against a surprisingly tough competitor in the Sin-Bound's Kazen. Kazen went on to successfully defend the belt against Holly Walker last night, as 50CENTAVOS defeated Paradigm to earn himself a rematch for his lost title. They've earned themselves the Main Event here tonight in Scranton, PA, so let's hope that they're up to the task!
The match starts off with a test of strength, both men jockeying for position and trying to gain even a slight upperhand, but as FIDDY is backed into a corner, the ref separates them. Another test of strength, with the same result, and as they're separated, 50CENTAVOS takes a cheap shot at Kazen, and then bumrushes the Light-Heavyweight Champion, smashing him with an elbow and then a stiff knee to the face, and throwing him face-first into the turnbuckle pad and stomping him on the back! The ref pulls FIDDY away, but FIDDY shoves the ref away and continues his assault on Kazen, being yanked away from the referee and reprimanded, giving Kazen enough time to get back to his feet. 50CENTAVOS continues his assault, and then grabs Kazen and tosses him outside to Toby Yoyo, grabbing the referee to complain about his back hurting as Toby Yoyo picks Kazen up and begins slamming him into the guard rail. Tani, in Kazen's corner, rushes to Kazen's aid with a chair, smashing Toby Yoyo in the back with it, but that just gets Yoyo's attention. Tani looks pretty freaked, and tosses the chair to Toby, he catches it, and Tani pops up on the apron and leaps off with a flying dropkick, aiming for the chair, but Toby just smashes her out of the air with the chair! The referee catches a glimpse of what just happened, and Toby Yoyo is being ejected from ringside! FIDDY can't believe this is happening, and as the referee is forcing Toby Yoyo up the ramp, FIDDY objecting from inside the ring, Kazen steps into the ring with a steel chair and blasts 50CENTAVOS in the back of the head with it!
Toby Yoyo now ejected from ringside, Tani still down from her failed save of Kazen, 50CENTAVOS down from a nasty chairshot from Kazen, and the Light-Heavyweight Champion barely able to stand, the ref begins the down count, with both Champion and Challenger trying their best to get to their feet, and Kazen is the first up at a 7-count, going right for the pin, but coming just a bit short of the 3. Both men back to their feet, and they start laying punches at each other, and Kazen snaps off a belly-to-belly overhead suplex! FIDDY back up with the Tec 9 [Musou], slamming Kazen down hard, and Kazen is up and lays in with his signature jumping Baba chop, and Kazen locks in the Sharpshooter right in the middle of the ring! Kazen leans back as far as he can and tried to apply as much torque as he can, but 50CENTAVOS will not give up! Kazen can't maintain the hold any longer, has to let up, FIDDY is back to his feet and he catches Kazen with a Shining Kenka Kick, 50CENTAVOS takes to the ropes and winds up for the Concussion King Kick, but Kazen ducks under and rolls FIDDY up in a small package; one, two, thre--! Kickout! FIDDY scrambles back up and right into the Black Wings [D-Geist] from Kazen!!1 One, two, three!!1
