Corrosion of Conformity's Clean My Wounds pounds the air in the Nameless Municipal Arena. Big blue-and-white blasts of pyro from the entry stage brighten the place up as Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir takes over for Corrosion of Conformity, and Paradigm busts out into the arena. He takes a few moments to look around at the crowd and makes his way to the ring. After a few moments, the house lights drop and a big countdown starts to signal the arrival of the Queen of Professional Wrestling, Kaori NiGHT! NiGHT makes her way to the ring with her usual fanfare, and has even added to her usual glitz and glamour with a very obscenely ornate robe that just screams "Nature Boy".
[Visper:] Welcome to Maelstrom, ladies and gentlemen.
[Jr.:] We've got a big show on tap for ya tonight, and we're getting starting big, with the (self-proclaimed) Queen of Professional Wrestling!
[Visper:] Kaori NiGHT's gearing up for that big cage match she has against the OG-Joshi World Champion, Holly, and she's got, potentially, a big order in front of her tonight as she takes on the big up-and-comer, Paradigm.
[Jr.:] Paradigm's been on a big streak lately, and is rising up the ranks big time to reach Light-Heavyweight Championship contention. If he can get a win over Kaori NiGHT, that'll certainly boost him up in the rankings and get him closer and closer to the Light-Heavyweight Championship.
<<Singles Match>>
Paradigm
vs.
"The Queen of Professional Wrestling" Kaori NiGHT
[Referee:] Corrine Whal
Paradigm and Kaori, both knowing this match carries a lot of momentum, fired things up and went at it from the bell, charging each other and exchanging strikes for a almost a full minute! Kaori NiGHT was the first to dodge a blow, ducking under a kick and taking to the ropes to hit a flying heel kick. The two got up and started wrestling, trading off takedowns and switching control back-and-forth. On the ground, a headscissor by Kaori NiGHT gave Paradigm an opportunity for a jackknife hold, but Kaori kicked out and rolled to her side as she did, maintaining the headscissor, but Paradigm popped out and delivered a nasty dropkick to Kaori's face. The pace picked up considerably after that, with the two taking to the ropes repeatedly, utilizing whatever attacks they could to wear their opponent down, but both ended up going to the well too often, as a NiGHTSault from the Queen of Professional Wrestling connected to knees from Paradigm, and as Kaori rolled around in agony, Paradigm took to the turnbuckle and went for a flying splash, only for Kaori to roll out of the ring. As the two got back up, Kaori outside and Paradigm inside, Paradigm went for a suicide dive, connecting with NiGHT and sending both of them sprawling into the announce table, smashing it, and leaving the two wrestlers in a heap of flesh, spandex, and table, with neither of them showing much sign of life as the ring-out count expires.
Ring-Out Draw
Time: 12:02
[Visper:] Jeeze Louise! Now where am I gonna sit?!
[Jr.:] I can't even believe that! How did that even happen? Can we get playback of that?
[Visper:] Nope. They trashed our monitors, too.
[Jr.:] BAH GAWD! That better not come out of my paycheck!
[Visper:] I can't see this as being very good for Kaori NiGHT. With that Steel Cage match coming up against Holly, having her body used to destroy our furniture can't be the best thing for her.
[Jr.:] But, you can bet it'll be a good thing for Holly.
[Visper:] Yeah. And as we know, what's good for Holly isn't good for anybody else. Ever.
-- Commercial break --
New Damage Prowrestling Maelstrom is being delayed constantly thanks to Disgaea DS. It's all their fault, dood.
-- Back from Commercial --
We return to commercial as Princess Aika is making her way to the ring. As Princess Aika enters the ring, Akira Blaze makes her way out and, upon entering the ring, Princess Aika starts talking to her. It seems like Princess Aika is trying to get Akira Blaze to do something, but Akira seems reluctant as always. Princess Aika begins pleading, and Akira finally seems to be giving in, as the two of them head to the center of the ring. Princess Aika stands in front of Akira, and the two pose, with Akira doing her Amazon yell and Princess Aika doing her hero pose, but it's kinda off and sloppy looking. Guess they need to work on their timing. The Sin-Bound make their way out to the ring, posing for the crowd before facing across the ring at their opponents.
[Visper:] This match'll be very interesting to watch. Two women that were basically sworn blood enemies, now pairing up to face a common enemy.
[Jr.:] It should be noted that the common enemy is NDP Light-Heavyweight Champion 50CENTAVOS and his Gambero Unit group. Not the Sin-Bound.
[Visper:] Right. But the Sin-Bound are a very decent tag team, and it's really better for Princess Aika and Akira Blaze to face off against competent opponents instead of another pair of randomly thrown-together opponents.
[Jr.:] Not that NDP would do that kind of thing.
[Visper:] Nope.
<<Tag Team Match>>
"Too Hot" Akira Blaze
and
"Flash Princess" Princess Aika
vs.
[Referee:] Joe Brown
Princess Aika and young Tani start the party off for their respective teams, and starting slow with a test of strength doesn't really kick the action off as the two are matched pretty evenly. Things quickly turn into a chop-fest, each woman putting all their weight behind heavy chops to try and knock their opponent down, until Tani gets the idea to run to the ropes, giving her a bunch of momentum for her chop, almost like a lariat knocking Princess Aika down. Princess Aika's back up, and Tani with an actual lariat this time, followed by a sole butt to Princess Aika, and as Princess Aika is doubled over, Tani grabs the Flash Kingdom heiress by her hair, pulls her head up and hops into the air, falling on her back with her knees up, pulling Princess Aika's head along with them to drive the knee into Princess Aika's jaw. Tani springs up and makes the tag to Kazen, and the two double-team Princess Aika with double suplexes and dropkicks.
Tani is forced to the apron as Kazen pulls Princess Aika up, shoving her into the corner and following up with a short running splash and then a shoulder butt to Princess Aika's midsection. Quick tag out to Tani, and the two slingshot Princess Aika back into the corner and double shoulder tackle her for good measure. Tani leads off with European uppercuts, keeping Princess Aika bouncing of the turnbuckles. Tag out to Kazen, and Kazen starts in again with the shoulder tackles, until Princess Aika manages to get a knee up as Kazen charges, slamming shoulder into knee and causing him to back away from the corner. Princess Aika tries to get to her corner, but Tani hops over the ropes and grabs Princess Aika by her hair, yanking back and slamming Princess Aika's head into the mat. Tani gets admonished for both pulling hair and being in the ring without being the legal team member, and as Tani heads to the apron, Kazen drags Princess Aika back to Sin-Bound's corner before droppin' an elbow on her chest.
The double-teaming and isolation of Princess Aika continues, and as Tani holds Princess Aika in the corner, Kazen charges in for a big splash, but Princess Aika slams an elbow into Tani's head to break her grip, and she dives out of the corner with Kazen in mid-air, and Kazen smashes hard into the turnbuckle. Princess Aika makes a mad dash for her corner and hot tag to Akira Blaze!
Akira's in, Kazen lariated down, Tani in and she gets in a forearm before nailed down by an uraken. Akira off the ropes, nailing both Sin-Bound with a double lariat, off the ropes again, but both Sin-Bound duck the lariat attempt and give Akira what for, the two connecting with lariats to send Akira packing over the top rope. Princess Aika charges in, and the two Sin-Bound duck down and give Princess Aika the up-and-over, sending her flying into Akira Blaze on the outside! Tani and Kazen are by the ropes, waiting, stalking as Princess Aika and Akira Blaze get to their feet, and the two slingshot themselves into their opponents! The crowd is booming as the Sin-Bound get back up, grabbing Akira Blaze and rolling her back into the ring. Tani on the apron, and she slingshots over the top rope with a very nice looking tope, and she quickly back to the apron as Kazen pulls Akira Blaze to her feet. Akira catches Kazen off-guard with a quick uppercut to knock him back. Kazen comes back and shoves Akira into the ropes, right into Princess Aika on the apron, and the two butt heads, sending Princess Aika flying back down to the floor and Akira right into Kazen's Black Wings [Emerald Flosion]!! Kazen covers the former Light-Heavyweight Champion; one, two, three!!
Kazen wins by pinfall
Time: 9:42
Princess Aika grabs Kazen off of Akira Blaze, but she's too late to break the pinfall. Kazen gets back into the ring and the referee raises the hands of the Sin-Bound and Kazen celebrates the biggest win of his career so far.
[Visper:] And that quick, Kazen picks up a huge victory over a former Light-Heavyweight Champion.
[Jr.:] Not to undermine the talents of the Sin-Bound, but some of this victory has to be attributed to miscommunication between Princess Aika and Akira Blaze. After all, these two are tagging for the first time ever, after months and months of violent feuding. There's bound to be problems they need to iron out.
[Visper:] Problems or not, a big victory for the Sin-Bound here tonight over a former Light-Heavyweight Champion in Akira Blaze and a consistent number one contender to that same Light-Heavyweight Championship. We should definitely see Kazen and Tani jump in the Light-Heavyweight Championship rankings.
The camera shows Tani and Kazen, hands in the air, as they walk backward up the entry ramp, before showing Akira Blaze and Princess Aika in the ring talking and holding their heads.

Scene opens up to moto sitting in his chair in his office, apparently doing some paper work. A small scuffle can be heard outside the door as moto raises his head in confusion. Suddenly, there is a light knock on the door.
[motosada:] Come in.
Door slowly opens with Roselyn slowly peeking her head in before opening the door fully, revealing a giant bear behind her while holding two smaller teddy bears in her arms, one in green and the other with camouflage pants. Roselyn brings herself and her bear company over to the chairs in front of moto's desk as Roselyn points at one of the chairs.
[Roselyn:] Traumy, sit here.
The giant bear takes a seat on the chair that Roselyn was pointing at and Roselyn sits down at an adjacent chair, putting the teddy bear in camouflage up on moto's desk facing moto as the green teddy bear rests on Roselyn's lap, Roselyn's arms wrapped around it, hugging it. Roselyn puts on a small smile on her face.
[Roselyn:] Hello, Mr. moto.
[motosada:] "Mr. Paul" will do nicely, thank you.
[Roselyn:] Oh, of course! Hello, Mr. Paul.
[Mr. Paul:] Hello Roselyn. What can I do for you today?
[Roselyn:] I want to play with Traumy.
[Mr. Paul:] Huh? Er... Not in my office, I hope.
[Roselyn:] No, no, no. Joey, Traumy, and I were talking and we think that me and Traumy should play in the ring together! Sada here, Roselyn pats the camouflage bear on the head thinks it's a great idea also!
The giant bear shifts and puts his bear claw on his face, a face palm and shakes his head.
[Roselyn:] What...do you think?
[Mr. Paul:] Like... a tag-team?
Roselyn raises up her green teddy bear and tilts her head, putting her hair onto the green bear's mouth as the room falls silent for a moment.
[Mr. Paul:] So...what did he say?
Roselyn's slight smile suddenly turns sour.
[Roselyn:] Joey is not a boy! Her name is JoAnna, I just call her Joey for short!
[Mr. Paul:] Oh...sorry Roselyn. What did SHE say?
Roselyn's face remains sour, and she shoves the green-clad bear into Mr. Paul's face.
[Roselyn:] Apologize to Joey for calling her a he!
[Mr. Paul:] Er... Sorry, Joey?
Roselyn pulls Joey away and puts the smile back on her face.
[Roselyn:] Joey says yes! A tag-team is perfect for me and Traumy!
Roselyn warps an arm around the big bear and grins.
[Mr. Paul:] Sure, I can arrange something for you two.
The big bear shakes his head as what Mr. Paul just said completely lights up Roselyn's face as she jumps out of her chair with the green bear being wrapped around by her arms.
[Roselyn:] YES! Did you hear that Traumy!? We can play in the ring together! This is going to be sooooo much fun! Let's go celebrate! Let's go get some ice cream Traumy!
Roselyn grabs the arm of the big bear, drags him out of the chair and skips out of the room forgetting that she is leaving the camouflage bear behind. Mr. Paul stares at the bear a bit.
[Mr. Paul:] Um...
The door swings open and Roselyn storms into the room and snatches the bear off the table.
[Roselyn:] Oh...Sada, why are you always falling behind?
Roselyn walks out of the room with the camouflage bear being cradled in her arms leaving Mr. Paul at his desk sighing as the scene fades to ringside. Justice and Mercy by Flyleaf hits and the graphics for Ascension flash on the screen.
Scheduled Matches for Ascension
Jakob Furis versus Evan Divine - SUBMISSION
Light-Heavyweight Champion 50CENTAVOS and Toby Yoyo versus Princess Aika and Akira Blaze
Kaori NiGHT versus World Champion Holly - STEEL CAGE
Champion "The Living Venus" Colleen defends the NDP Championship
[Visper:] We're stacking a huge Supercard Event coming up, and Ascension looks like it might easily be our best yet. And that's even with some of the big "unknown" factors still out there. Like, who will NDP Champion be defending the title against?
[Jr.:] That, we'll have an answer for tonight. If Colleen beats Jason Wesley, she'll get to choose her own opponent for Ascension. But if Jason Wesley defeats Colleen, then we'll see an NDP Championship triple threat match, with Colleen defending against Jason Wesley and Matt Shane.
[Visper:] One match I'm expecting to see show up on Ascension features at least one of the participants in our next match.
[Jr.:] Absolutely. Mr. E has been dealing with these massive, unwarranted beatdowns from the group ARMADA, for months now. I still haven't even been able to figure out why this is going on, other than ARMADA just trying to come off as intimidating.
[Visper:] They certainly picked the wrong guy to mess with, and Mr. E was certainly giving ARMADA plenty of trouble for their effort, until ARMADA's newest member debuted to level Mr. E to start a vicious assault.
[Jr.:] Mr. E is getting revenge bit-by-bit, but ARMADA isn't making it easy for him. In fact, this next match was supposed to take place last Maelstrom, but ARMADA attacked Mr. E backstage, leading the big brawl out to the ring where ARMADA just took Mr. E apart physically.
Ryan Ramirez makes his way to the ring, unaccompanied by his stablemates. He stands in his corner, waiting for Mr. E to come to the ring. Pavarotti’s rendition of Vesti la Giubba hits the PA system, but no sign of Mr. E. Ramirez starts walking toward the entryway, looking over the ropes, and Mr. E sneaks through the crowd by the broken announce table, sliding into the ring. The bell rings, and Ramirez starts looking left-and-right, wondering what's going on when he can't see his opponent, and he turns around, right into a nasty lariat from Mr. E, sending him sailing over the ropes to the outside!
<<Singles Match>>
"Phenomenal" Mr. E
vs.
"Silver Scourge" Ryan Ramirez
[Referee:] Frederick Awale
Mr. E follows Ramirez out of the ring, grabbing him by the hair and pulling the much smaller competitor to his feet. Mr. E lifts Ramirez up with a gorilla press, and throws Ramirez into the ring! Ramirez grabs at the top rope, though, and manages to land on his feet inside the ring, before slingshotting himself over the top rope for a cross body block, but he's caught! Mr. E shakes the Silver Scourge and then charges the corner post, smashing Ramirez' back into the post. Mr. E takes a step back, charges the post again, driving Ramirez hard into the steel. Mr. E rolls Ramirez back into the ring and goes to follow, but it suddenly stopped when he's leveled from behind by Ivan Vigoro! Adam Galcian is right behind, and he and Vigoro start laying the boots to Mr. E as the referee calls for the disqualification!
Mr. E wins by disqualification
Time: 1:15
Adam Galcian and Ivan Vigoro are laying the beatdown on Mr. E, but both are suddenly knocked to the ground-- the Sin-Bound!? Tani and Kazen, both brandishing steel chairs, have just laid out Ivan Vigoro and Adam Galcian! Vigoro and Galcian are getting back to their feet, and the Sin-Bound smash the two of them in the head again before helping Mr. E up to his feet. The three of them, Tani, Kazen, and Mr. E, start heading for the entryway, leaving Ramirez, Vigoro, and Galcian in a heap.
[Visper:] FINALLY! THANK! YOU!
[Jr.:] After months of these attacks, it's great to finally see someone, anyone, come out to Mr. E's rescue!
[Visper:] The Sin-Bound and ARMADA have never seen eye-to-eye, so it's not too surprising to see them out to stop ARMADA from this kind of thing, but, their problems with ARMADA were before Ivan Vigoro made the scene. That can certainly make a big shift and could end up being a dangerous game for the Sin-Bound to play, but maybe that's why they came to Mr. E's rescue.
[Jr.:] Having a big beast like Mr. E to help counteract a big beast like Ivan Vigoro doesn't sound like a bad idea, but even still, they're gonna be outnumbered.
[Visper:] Well, until we know anything more, maybe we shouldn't speculate. After all, Tani and Kazen could've just come down to stop this attack, and might not do it again. It's hard to say what's really going on.

New Damage Prowrestling Maelstrom is brought to you by Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Do you desire Brawl as well?
-- Back from Commercial --
NDP's ring is empty of INTENSE ACTION for moments before drums and a familiar bass line kick in - Super Bon Bon, by Soul Coughing, as a very large man in a very fashionable suit passes into the NDP arena, fans in attendance exploding in cheers.
He stands atop the rampway to the ring, overlooking the crowd through expensive sunglasses, and slowly removing them, before scanning the crowd quickly... he begins walking with a purpose, circling the ring and grabbing a microphone before sliding underneath the bottom rope and getting to his feet within seconds; quicker than a man of his size would be thought of.
[Chapel:] Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm going to bypass the usual "growl and threaten" rhetoric you've become so accustomed to, for something truly shocking: honest emotion.
You see, folks... I let myself go down a dark road of drugs and alcohol, and it very nearly destroyed me.
He pauses for a second, sighing heavily.
I lost path of the things I value the most: my friends, like Mr. Jason Wesley; my family, my beloved wife and daughter; and my faith in God, the One Most High. Except, I stand here in front of you, because I lost the path to them, but because they DID NOT lose the path to me! And, because of them, they've allowed me to get myself together - to return to NDP, to accomplish something I've always wanted to do...
The loud screech of Corrosion of Conformity's #2121313 interrupts Chapel, followed by the loud tutting of gentlemanly Gene Starr, wearing his now-trademark blue "I SOLVE MY PROBLEMS WITH VIOLENCE" t-shirt. The crowd explodes, having no idea Starr was in the building, let alone supposed to return to NDP!
[Gene Starr:] BLAH BLAH BLAH, BLAH... BLAH... BLAH... What've you always wanted to do, Chapel? Open a ministry? Help the poor sick orphans? Teach the blind to read? I can't believe people are actually worked up about your return! I mean... they used to call you "The Man", Chap. When you were last, they called you a joke. A shell of your former self.
Gene, unfamiliar with - or uncaring for - the law of the zoo, climbs into the ring with the large man he's agitating.
[Gene Starr:] I mean, c'mon! Everybody here's all "Oh, Chapel! Oh, God! Do what you must! Woo! Yeah!"
[Chapel:] And you came down here to interrupt?
[Gene:] YES.
[Chapel:] Why?
[Gene:] Because... Because maybe I've gotten old and maybe I'm a bit more hardened, a bit more jaded, but it used to be that a man kept his problems to himself. That a man handled his problems himself; and he didn't come into a public venue to talk about them or to talk about "beating" them. I know I'm a man, but what? Did you forget how to be one?
[Chapel:] ...Y'know, you... you may be on to something, there... How would you suggest that a man deal with a problem?
[Gene:] Heh. You're kidding, right?
Gene points to his shirt, proudly displaying it for Hillcrest. Chapel takes a moment to read it, considering what he sees.
[Chapel:] Cool.
Chapel crosses the distance between the two swiftly, before headbutting Gene - Gene stumbles back, his eyes wide, deftly avoiding Chapel's hand as it shoots for his neck, rolling out of the ring.
[Chapel:] Gene, you see, I haven't forgotten how to be a man - you just forgot how to deal with "The Man". I was going to say how I was going to start gunning for the NDP Championship, but you see, Gene... in a mocking tone of voice "A man handles his problems..."
Gene backs up the entry ramp, face between smirk and worry.
[Gene:] Taking initiative! That's good! Good for you! But becoming a problem for me? Not so good for you.
[Chapel:] Fine then. Let's solve this your way. You, me, Ascension. You got a problem with that?
[Gene:] Not at all.
-- Commercial break --
New Damage Prowrestling is brought to you by Fallout 3. Prepare for the future.
-- Back from Commercial --
[Visper:] Just before the commercial break, we got a huge surprise! We all knew that Chapel Hillcrest was making his return to NDP, but Gene Starr being here was a HUGE shock!
[Jr.:] And it ended up almost becoming a HUGE brawl!
[Visper:] And instead, it's a HUGE match for Ascension!
[Jr.:] And speaking of "HUGE matches for Ascension", both of the competitors in our next match have them!
[Visper:] Hell of a segue, Lann.
[Jr.:] What? What's Ascension got to do with those stupid scooter things? Don't be a dummy!
[Visper:] Yeah, that's a... ... Nevermind. Moving on! Both the OG-Joshi World Champion Holly, and Evan Divine, have big matches at Ascension. Evan Divine will be facing off against Jakob Furis, again, but this time in a submission match.
[Jr.:] Meanwhile, Holly has a Steel Cage match to prepare for against Kaori NiGHT.
[Visper:] If Holly can avoid any calamity during this match, unlike Kaori NiGHT, then Holly will certainly be in a position to once again knock the Queen of Professional Wrestling off her throne.
Evan Divine waits in the ring for Holly Walker, and it doesn't take more than a bar of Kick 'Im When He's Down before the crowd is whipped up into a murderous frenzy. Holly is like a giant heat magnet, and this crowd would just as soon tear her limb from limb as watch her wrestle. Holly is playing to the crowd, smiling and waving and blowing kisses just building more fervor, but she's so distracted with taunting the crowd that she doesn't see Evan Divine running toward the ropes and jumping over them into a beautiful tope, crashing right into the unsuspecting OG-Joshi World Champion! The crowd explodes in cheers as Divine lands on Holly, and Divine soaks in the adulation of the crowd for a moment before picking Holly up and delivering a couple kicks, sending Holly into the guard rail to set her up for a big wheel kick that connects perfectly with Holly's jaw. Divine plays to the crowd again, grabbing Holly and setting her up for something, but Holly gouges the eyes of Divine, removes the OG-Joshi World Championship from around her waist, and smashes Divine's face in with the Title!
Holly laughs as she stomps away at Divine, the crowd ripping into her, and she takes a bow for the audience. Evan Divine is getting back to his feet, and Holly slaps him silly, before grabbing him and rolling him into the ring. Holly hops on the apron and makes a show of entering the ring, before shoving Divine into the corner as the bell rings to finally, "officially" start the match.
<<Singles Match>>
Evan Divine
vs.
World Champion Holly Walker
[Referee:] Christopher Speil
Holly lays into Divine with a couple more slaps, and a couple kicks to his side before she just starts choking him! The referee isn't playing around, and grabs Holly, yanking her off of Divine. Holly throws up her hands in surrender, before pushing past the referee to blatantly choke Divine again! Referee Chris Speil pulls Holly off Divine again, admonishing her, but Holly just :ps him and continues on her way to slam Divine with a forearm. Divine fires back with a forearm of his own, and the two just start brawling like crazy-go-nuts, with Divine pushing out of the corner and upending Holly with a big, jumping uppercut. He poses for the crowd with a big, dramatic peace sign (someone's a Ken fan) before taking to the ropes and smashing Holly with a big senton splash. Holly and Divine are getting back up, Evan starts peppering Holly with elbows and he dashes to the ropes, Holly ducks Divine's flying forearm, and she connects with her Peek-A-Boo Kick [high roundhouse] as Divine pops to his feet, catching him right in the back of the head and sending Divine down like a heap. Holly stalks Divine, waiting for him to get to his feet, and the moment he does, Holly grabs him by the head and feeds him some Loser's Lunch [X-Factor], standing back up and blowing a kiss to the crowd before rolling Divine to get the three-count and the win.
Holly wins by pinfall
Time: 6:32
Holly has a ringside attendant fetch her OG-Joshi World Championship, which she holds up as referee Chris Speil holds her arm in victory. Holly smiles broadly [motonote: by which I mean she's smiling widely, not that she's smiling like a broad] and enjoys the booing crowd.
[Visper:] As much as I hate to admit it, and I hate to, Holly Walker is a skilled competitor.
[Jr.:] Not to mention the fact that she just gets atomic levels of heat. She gets booed if people just think she's in the arena. And when she's out here, maaaan...
[Visper:] Oh, yeah. Don't get me wrong. People hate her. Myself included. It's just, well... What do you want?
The camera cuts to Holly, who's apparently stolen Lann's headset.
[Holly:] Oh, I was just in the neighborhood, and I thought I'd stop by to see how my best friend in the whole world is doing!!
[Visper:] Really? I didn't know your Chlamydia was over here.
[Holly:] Oh, hohohoho! You're a silly one, aren't ya?! Honestly, I just heard you putting me over, and I thought to myself, "Self, I gotta get in on this!" So, go ahead. Finish putting me over. Chop chop!
[Visper:] Well, since you asked so nicely, I was saying that, despite your horrible demeanor, and despite how much I loathe you, you are actually good at what you do inside the ring.
[Holly:] Ok, that's a start. I realize you're still learning your big girl words but I'm proud of ya Vissy! You keep studying hard and one day you'll be as verbose an analyst as Mr. Clyde!! Hit those books!
Holly pats Visper on the head and quickly hops backstage with a smile on her face and a spring to her step. The camera pans back to the remains of the announce table, where we see Visper seething and Lann digging through the debris for a can of disinfectant spray, which he applies liberally to his headset.
[Visper:] God, I hate her.
-- Commercial break --
New Damage Prowrestling is brought to you by Animal Crossing: City Folk. Welcome to the City!
-- Back from Commercial --
We're backstage, in Jason Wesley's locker room. The $35,000 Man is getting ready for his match, and all of a sudden, he turns around looking ready to throw a punch, but he lowers his fists and smiles wide. The camera pans, and we see Chapel Hillcrest smiling wide.
[Jason:] Man!
[Chapel:] Almost got ya!
Jason and Chapel shake hands and hug.
[Jason:] Almost got decked.
[Chapel:] Good to see you, too.
[Jason:] Sorry, bro. Just been on edge, yanno? Women.
[Chapel:] You're tellin' me. Just be glad she's not your sister-in-law.
Jason winces.
[Jason:] Poor guy. So, your first night back and already you're getting into fights. What'm I gonna do with you?
[Chapel:] What can I say? I just have a way about these things. So, you got a match comin' up, right?
[Jason:] Yep. Might get messy out there.
[Chapel:] Don't worry; The Man has your back.
[Jason:] Good to hear, man. Good to hear.
Fade to the announce table.
[Visper:] Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. It's now time for our maaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin event.
[Jr.:] This one's gonna determine our main event for the upcoming Ascension Supercard Event. If Colleen defeats Jason Wesley here tonight, then she'll be allowed to choose her opponent out of anyone in NDP. But if she loses, and Jason Wesley defeats her, then Colleen will have to defend the NDP Championship against both Jason Wesley and Matt Shane.
[Visper:] Colleen defeated Matt Shane last Maelstrom to make it this far, but still, this one loss will cement her into a fate that I'm sure she'd rather not have.
[Jr.:] You just know that if Colleen wins, she's going to pick someone like Diva Dynamite to face for the title. After all, why not choose the bottom of the totem pole?
[Visper:] You can also bet that Colleen'll have every trick she's got to pull off this victory, so pay close attention. You never know when Colleen will surprise her opponent with a kick to the junk, or a brass knuckles-assisted punch to the jaw.
Jason Wesley hits the NMArena to the blaring of Cold's Remedy, followed by Chapel Hillcrest! The crowd pops loud for the reunited Upper Class Connection, and they pose off the corner posts as Remedy fades out. Shocknina's Woman's Cry hits the PA system and the NDP Champion makes her way out, with Zachary Valentine in tow, and the sight of Jason Wesley's backup causes Colleen to hesitate coming down the entryway. She treads lightly as she continues, trading worried looks with Zachary. Colleen, for the fist time EVER, doesn't make a big show of posing in the ring. She just takes to her corner and stays there, staring across the ring at Jason Wesley and Chapel Hillcrest as the ring announcer begins the introductions.
<<Singles Match>>
Champion "The Living Venus" Colleen (w/ Zachary Valentine)
vs.
"The $32,500 Man" Jason Wesley (w/ "The Man" Chapel Hillcrest)
[Referee:] Frederick Awale
The bell rings, and Jason Wesley makes a bee-line for Colleen, but Colleen ducks out of the ring. Colleen stalls on the outside, exercising the referee's count-out, before hopping back on the apron. She stares at Wesley cautiously, telling the referee to keep him back, and she enters finally. Jason approaches her again, but Colleen ducks out again. Jason follows her out this time, but Colleen is waiting on him and she belts him with an elbow to the kidneys. Colleen shoves him into the steel stairs on the outside and slides back into the ring as Chapel Hillcrest comes to Jason's aid.
Jason gets back to his feet, and slides into the ring, into an assault by Colleen. Colleen is taking every cheap shot she can, nailing Jason with kicks and stomps to the ribs and spine, and dropping an elbow on him for the exclamation point. !
[Visper:] A surprisingly sound strategy from Colleen in the opening moments of this match. We're used to seeing her try to duck out to get an advantage on opponents, but she's doing a good job in the early goings here on targeting Jason Wesley's vulnerable fleshy parts.
[Jr.:] Seeing Chapel Hillcrest out here with Jason Wesley really threw Colleen for a loop, because I seriously doubt she was taking his presence into consideration for this match. So, either, she's going with the gamelan she already had in place, or she's changed on the fly. Either way, it's being very effective in the early goings. And if you don't believe us, just ask Jason Wesley.
The referee backs Colleen away from Jason long enough for Jason to get out of the ropes, and Colleen goes on the attack again, backing Jason into the corner and going in to continue the assault, but Jason grabs her and spins them around, shoving Colleen into the corner and laying into her with a stiff chop that resonates through the arena. Jason continues to lay into Colleen, before Irish whipping her out of the corner just to slam her back in. Colleen staggers out and Jason sends her up and over and down again with a back-grapple brainbuster. Zachary reaches in and grabs Colleen's leg, pulling her out of the ring to give her a moment to recover, but Jason Wesley isn't having any of that. He heads to the ropes and slingshots himself over the top rope, but with some quick-thinking, Zachary shoves Colleen out of the line of fire, taking the plancha for her.
[Visper:] Zachary Valentine, showing a bit of manliness there, taking the bullet to protect his Champion. An unusually ballsy move for a guy that usually tries to weasel his way out of anything.
[Jr.:] Zachary Valentine stepping into the line of fire certainly wasn't something I expected to see tonight.
Colleen heads into the ring, maybe hoping for a count-out victory over Jason Wesley, but it's not to be. Jason gets into the ring, and the two start trading punches, with Jason getting a bit of an upper hand in this department. Colleen goes for Jason's eyes, and takes full advantage of Jason's assault ending by dropkicking Wesley in the knee, sending him to the mat. Colleen with a nasty kick right to Jason's face, sending him flying backward, covering his face with both hands. Colleen grabs Jason by the legs and twists him over into a Boston crab, leaning her weight backward to try and bring Jason's feet up near his ears. Jason starts trying to drag himself to the ropes, and Colleen drops Jason's legs, jumps in the air and slams down right on Jason's back. Colleen pops back up, drops an elbow on Jason's back and then drags him to the center of the ring to re-apply the Boston crab.
[Jr.:] Colleen doing a really good job here of shutting Jason Wesley down, using a bit of unique offense to get it done.
Colleen tries to work back on the Boston crab, but Jason's struggling, he's twisting himself around and-- Jason manages to trap Colleen in a very unusual victory roll! One, two-- kickout!
Both competitors are to their feet, and Jason whips Colleen to the ropes, sending her flying on the rebound with an overhead suplex! Colleen back up, and Jason levels her with a lariat, and a second! Jason is quickening the pace here big-time, and another Irish whip sends Colleen into the turnbuckle. Jason charges in and flattens Colleen with a body splash, and Zachary Valentine hops on the apron to distract Jason. Jason swings on Zachary, but he drops off the apron-- and right into the clutches of Chapel Hillcrest! Zachary struggles to get free of the much, much, much larger Chapel Hillcrest, but to no avail. Inside the ring, Colleen is back on the attack, laying forearms into Jason's back. Colleen lands five or six of these heavy forearms and then scoops Jason up in a schoooolll giiirrrrllll pin; one, two, thr-- kickout!
Jason and Colleen back up, and Jason levels Colleen with a lariat. Colleen back to her feet, Jason takes to the ropes and Colleen leaps forward to snap Jason's head back with a flying lariat. Colleen pins, hooking both legs; one, two, thre-- kickout!
Colleen looks really upset, and she's starting to look desperate. She mounts Jason and starts punching away, Jason quickly covering up. Colleen pulls back for a big punch, and Jason catches Colleen's arm, throwing her off of him and holding onto the arm, and Jason pops up and quickly locks in the Udehishigi [Jujigatame]!! Colleen yelps out loud, and she's scrambling with her legs and free arm, trying to get to the ropes. The crowd booms as Colleen struggles to get out of the Udehishigi, finally getting her feet to the ropes and the referee scrambles to break the hold. Jason rolls back to his feet and Colleen quickly rolls out of the ring, hiding as best she can, holding her elbow in pain.
[Visper:] That jujigatame of Jason Wesley's is real devastating, real quick. When he locks that in, opponents have two options; get a rope break, or tap out.
[Jr.:] And even when they get to the ropes, the damage the move can do in a short period of time doesn't just "go away". Colleen's gonna be feeling that for awhile, and it'll certainly have an impact on the rest of this match.
Colleen is still hiding out from Jason Wesley, until she's approached by Chapel Hillcrest. Colleen yelps, tells him to go away, but it doesn't help much as Chapel menacingly approaches Colleen. Out of frickin' NOWHERE comes a flying Zachary Valentine, who jumps on Chapel's back and tries to bring The Man down, but Chapel just starts struggling, trying to get the little bastard off of 'im. Jason Wesley and the referee are distracted by all this, with Zachary Valentine clinging onto Chapel Hillcrest for dear life as the man-mountain Chapel tries to shake him off. Colleen takes the flash of opportunity to roll into the ring and reach into her top to grab her brass knuckles. She sneaks up behind Jason Wesley, waiting for the moment to strike--
[Visper:] HEY!
[Jr.:] LOOK OUT~! THE KILLER IS BEHIND YOU!!1
Colleen is suddenly spun around and lifted into the air-- Matt Shane with the AcuPUNKture on the NDP Champion! Matt Shane leaves the ring and waits by the apron, looking in the ring as Chapel Hillcrest finally throws Valentine off his back. Jason Wesley turns around, seeing a pair of brass knuckles lying beside a prone Living Venus, and Jason does the only reasonable thing; he grabs the brass knux and hides them in his trunks before picking Colleen up and WRIST-CLUTCH EXPLODER!!1 Jason covers; one, two, three!!1
Jason Wesley wins by pinfall
Time: 16:22
[Visper:] And just that quick, Jason Wesley and Matt Shane will be challenging "The Living Venus" Colleen for the NDP Championship at Ascension!
[Jr.:] Matt Shane came through the crowd to deliver as timely an assist as you can get. But you gotta know it's because he wanted to secure his own title shot and not so much Jason Wesley's.
[Visper:] That's a pretty sure bet right there. In this situation, what's good for Jason Wesley is good for Matt Shane.
Jason has his hand raised in the center of the ring, Chapel Hillcrest on the outside cheering him on, as Colleen struggles to get to her feet. She sees Jason reveling in victory, and she scrambles for the NDP Championship on the outside, cradling it like a baby as she looks nervous, paranoid, at the turn of events. Remedy fades out of the PA, replaced by the familiar Rocket Science.
[Mr. Paul:] Congrats, Jason Wesley! With your victory tonight, you've sealed the Ascension main event, as you and Matt Shane will be challenging "The Living Venus", Colleen, for the NDP Championship in a triple threat match. But, Ascension is still some time away. For instance, we have another episode of Maelstrom that doesn't have a main event! Very tragic, I know, but I think I have an idea here.
On the next Maelstrom, our main event is going to be a trios tag match. On one side, we're going to have the Universal Battalion League's Team NDP - consisting of Matt Shane, Mr. E, and the NDP Champion, Colleen - taking on the combination of the Upper Class Connection of Jason Wesley and "The Man" Chapel Hillcrest, and their tag partner, the MDWF Champion, Gene Starr!
Nobody in the ring seems to be too happy with that. Colleen looks terrified, Matt Shane just looks upset, and both Chapel and Jason Wesley are grimacing. Mr. Paul, however, seems quite pleased.
[Mr. Paul:] Now, I know that a lot of the people in this match are going to be teaming up with people they'll be facing at Ascension. I would like to think that everyone could be nice and professional about things, but just in case you're not, I'm going to lay out this little mandate; if any wrestler in this trios tag match attacks their teammates, then they'll automatically forfeit their match at Ascension. And if that wrestler just happens to be, say, the NDP Champion, then they'll be stripped of the title as well. Now play nice, everyone.
Mr. Paul walks out of the arena, smiling widely, as Matt Shane enters the ring to stare down Jason Wesley. Jason smiles a sly ol' smile and extends his hand to Matt Shane. Shane hesitates for a moment, but stretches his own hand out and the two shake. Matt goes to pull away, but Jason keeps his grip tight and pulls Matt back in, yanking him face-to-face. Matt pulls away, takes a step back and just as quickly fires off a big Superkick, connecting to Jason Wesley's jaw and knocking The $32,500 Man down to the mat! Matt drops and rolls out of the ring, being the second man tonight to narrowly escape the clutches of Chapel Hillcrest, and Matt makes his way up the entrance ramp, staring toward the ring at Chapel, the downed Jason Wesley, and the mortified Colleen.
