Baxter's Television once again warmly welcomes you to the New Damage Prowrestling DamageCast.
DamageCast #10
Not Never But NOW
As usual, Miles Bell greets us from behind the desk in the DamageCast studio.
[Miles:] Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. We're back after an explosive Maelstrom, where our main event for the upcoming Ascension SuperCard Event might already be set! The new NDP Champion, "The Living Venus" Colleen, held her "Champion Coronation Ceremony" at the end of the show, and was challenged by both Matt Shane and Jason Wesley, and the boss declaired that Colleen will face the both of them in the upcoming weeks to determine her fate at Ascension. She'll either be defending the NDP Championship against the both of them, or get to pick her own challenger! So, quite a lot on the line for "The Living Venus" on the path to Ascension!
On top of that, we know at least one match we'll be seeing at Ascension, as it was finalized just moments after Maelstrom went off the air; Evan Divine will be taking on Jakob Furis in a Submission match!
Now, we promised you an exclusive interview with a former NDP superstar, and we certainly plan to deliver. But before that, we're going to go back to the Nameless Municipal Arena for our DamageCast-exclusive match, featuring Belleza of ARMADA facing a young woman we're seeing for the first time in an NDP ring, Brooke Lynn.
-- From the Nameless Municipal Arena --
[Miles:] Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to our DamageCast exclusive match. I'm Miles Bell - but you already knew that - once again joined by my Outbreak broadcast partner, Lann Avery, Jr.
[Jr.:] Yo!
[Miles:] Without much further ado, let's get down to business! This DamageCast exclusive is going to feature the debut of, potentially, a new face here in NDP, as the young Brooke Lynn takes on the more experienced Belleza of ARMADA.
[Jr.:] heheh "Brooke Lynn". I get it.
[Miles:] You get what? That her name sounds like "Brooklyn"?
[Jr.:] Oh! Now I get it!
[Miles:] ¬_¬
Anyway. ARMADA has been falling on rough times lately, not having won a match since the FORSAKEN SuperCard Event. They haven't had much luck since Tribulation, either, after the newest member of ARMADA, Ivan Vigoro, made his debut on Outbreak to give Mr. E a victory over ARMADA leader Adam Galcian by disqualification. And then on Maelstrom, Galcian was unable to beat Jason Wesley. Will ARMADA's losing streak continue here tonight, at the hands of this young lady Brooke Lynn, or will Belleza finally avoid being dealt the punk card for ARMADA? Let's watch!
Brooke Lynn is already in the ring as Belleza makes her entrance, accompanied only by Ramirez for some reason. Guess Galcian and the big monster guy couldn't be bothered to join her. Belleza steps into the ring and we're ready to begin!
<<Singles Match>>
Belleza (w/ Ramirez)
vs.
Brooke Lynn
Referee: Joe Brown
What Brooke Lynn lacked in a flashy entrance, she made up for with flashy wrestling. She and Belleza tied up in the center of the ring, and Belleza took over control early. Brooke Lynn kept trying for a lariat when Belleza would Irish whip her, but every attempt led to Belleza wringing and wrenching Brooke's arm. Belleza went deep into her technical wrestling manual, just wrestling circles around the lesser-experienced Brooke Lynn, and being just mean about it. Belleza would lock in a complicated or straight-up painful submission hold, and then let it go after a moment before slapping Brooke in the back of the head or mussing her hair up.
Brooke finally took control when she surprised Belleza with a quick series of chops, punches, kicks, and a piledriver. Pretty nasty one, too. Belleza got to her feet as Brooke charged at her, finally connecting with that lariat. Belleza back up, and a Spinning Back Drop from Brooke Lynn got her a near-fall. Brooke went for the lariat again, but Belleza was right near the ropes and tossed Brooke over before dashing to the corner, flying to the outside and connecting with the Lynx Torpedo [Moonsault Attack]! After slowly getting up, both ladies brawled on the outside, Brooke Lynn nearly picking up the count-out victory when she dropkicked Belleza into the guard rail and slid back into the ring at Joe Brown's 18-count, but Ramirez hopped up on the apron in front of the ref and stopped him from continuing the outside count. Belleza back into the ring, and the two ladies are brawling again. Brooke catches Belleza with a nasty elbow smash that spins Belleza right round like a record, baby, and Brooke with a Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex-- no! Belleza breaks Brooke Lynn's clutch, Misterio Rana from Belleza gets the victory!
Belleza wins by pinfall
Time: 13:23
Belleza celebrates mid-ring, making sure referee Joe Brown raises her hand high in the air for an extended period of time, and after a moment, Galcian and Vigoro make their way down to the ring to congradulate her.
[Miles:] I guess that since they finally got a win, every member of ARMADA wants a piece of the celebration, huh?
[Jr.:] Sometimes, ya gotta share the wealth. Belleza pulled off a nice victory over young Brooke Lynn here tonight, who put on a heck of a show for her debut. I thought she was gonna get the win with that suplex move at the end, but Belleza obviously had other plans for it.
[Miles:] Being able to break out of the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex is quite a feat, especially being able to turn it into a Misteriorana so smoothly. And after some of those spills the two ladies took during the match, Belleza certainly earned her victory tonight.
-- Back to the Studio --
[Miles:] Welcome back to the studio, ladies and gentlemen! And we're joined now by our special guest, Gene Starr!
The camera pans over to show, indeed, Gene Starr!
[Miles:] Welcome back, Mr. Starr.
[Gene:] Well, it's nice to be back. As long as that check clears, anyway.
[Miles:] So, the last time we saw you in a New Damage Prowrestling ring was at FORSAKEN, where you defeated Victor Harris in a submission match. You just kinda... disappeared. What happened?
[Gene:] Well, the long and short of it is, I felt that I needed to focus my efforts on another goal that I was trying to achieve. As you may know, I had been in FPN, trying to win back the MDWF Championship. I found myself coming up short, and I decided that I had to dedicate myself toward the goal. And really, since then, I've not only regained the MDWF Championship, but I've been on quite a roll, and undefeated in the ring.
[Miles:] Now, you've also claimed yourself to be the Champion of the Universal Battle League...
[Gene:] Yep. I'm not only the MDWF Champion, but the UBL Champion. Not too many people can say they've been a Champion in two promotions at the same time.
[Miles:] But, you're not officially the UBL Champion...
[Gene:] But I've made it very clear during my stay in UBL that if anyone has a problem with my claim, they're free to do something about it. And so far, nobody has. I'd say that's a pretty solid, undisputed claim.
[Miles:] So, will Gene Starr be coming back to NDP? Is there already something in the works?
[Gene:] Well, I can't say that there's something in the works. I'm certainly not against coming back, because I'd love to add a new Championship to my collection. You know, I've always had this idea for the MDWF Triple Crown...
Gene strokes his chin in thought.
[Miles:] Well, we all know that you'd be welcome. I'm sure we could always use a new heavyweight! hah.. hahaha.... (HINT HINT).
[Gene:] Well, between the blue-haired guy and the little short girl, is there even room left for Gene Starr?
[Miles:] Oh, I'm sure we could make room.
Well, Mr. Starr, I'd like to thank you for your time. I know you have a Last Man Standing match at the next UBL Open Show in February, so good luck with that!
[Gene:] Yeah, I don't think it's gonna be that much of a problem.
Gene laughs, and the camera zooms back into Miles.
[Miles:] We'll see you again soon on the next DamageCast, ladies and gents. But until then, don't forget to check out Outbreak and Maelstrom! Outbreak features the in-ring debut of Toby Yoyo, a tag match between ARMADA and the Sin-Bound, and Princess Aika versus Roselyn Pride!
And on Maelstrom, we'll finally see the in-ring debut of Ivan Vigoro, as ARMADA will be in action, plus Kaori NiGHT challenging 50CENTAVOS for the right to have their name spelt funny! No, but seriously, Kaori NiGHT will challenge 50CENTAVOS for the NDP Light-Heavyweight Championship! And as if that weren't enough, the path to Ascension for Matt Shane, Jason Wesley, and the NDP Champion, Colleen, begins as Colleen faces Matt Shane in a non-title Tribulation rematch! If Matt Shane wins, then we'll be seeing Matt Shane versus Jason Wesley versus Colleen for the NDP Championship at Ascension!
On the next DamageCast, we'll once again have an exclusive match for you, and we're cooking up a nice new surprise for you, too! See you then!
Fade out as the NDP Signature begins to play to the video's end.
