Baxter's Television once again warmly welcomes you to the New Damage Prowrestling DamageCast.
DamageCast #9
The Consequence of Tribulation
Miles Bell is behind the desk in the DamageCast studio.
[Miles:] Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to DamageCast issue 9, where we'll be taking a look at the fallout from the Tribulation SuperCard Event. There's a lot of news to report, from the disastrous debut of Jakob Furis, the brutality we saw from Roselyn Pride and Trent "Trauma" Kasta in their Falls Count Anywhere match, to the new New Damage Prowrestling Champion! There were a lot of changes among our roster, too, as both Trent "Trauma" Kasta and Matt Shane appeared with new attire and new entrance music.
This DamageCast issue also debuts a new feature for the DamageCast; exclusive matches. In a moment, you're going to get to see an exclusive match from the Tribulation SuperCard Event, as ARMADA takes on the Flash Senshi in trios tag action. But first, the Tribulation results rundown!
Everybody who saw Tribulation witnessed the outright viciousness of both Roselyn Pride and Trent "Trauma" Kasta in their Falls Count Anywhere match, as well as the... unusual circumstances involved in the end of the match. And now, with Roselyn Pride having pinned Trent Kasta, she becomes the retainer of his contract, meaning Roselyn Pride has finally gotten what she wants; Trent Kasta, himself. As of now, we have absolutely no idea what the aftereffects of Roselyn Pride's victory will be, and Trent Kasta was still under hospital observation the last we heard.
The debut of "Count" Jakob Furis went from sad to disastrous for the supposed vampire, as he was assaulted during his entrance by concessions, pinned by the newest member of the NDP roster, Evan Divine, in about 30 seconds, and then beaten back by senior referee Frederick Awale after the match! Jakob Furis tried to make a big impact during his debut, but just left a sour taste in our mouths.
OG-Joshi brought us a fantastic match for Tribulation. My colleague, Visper Karr, picked up her third victory in the running Best of Seven series, tying with her opponent Haley Cannon. Visper did her best to try and match Haley Cannon's ground game, but wasn't exactly able, but she was still able to pick up the win with one of her flash pins. The seventh match has been confirmed to take place at the OG-FPD Fourth Anniversary show, and I am fully expecting that match to be a complete show stealer.
50CENTAVOS retained the Light-Heavyweight Championship, pinning Akira Blaze after the Concussion King Kick. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the finish of this match, as FIDDY's Gambero Unit heavy, Toby Yoyo, interfered with a devastating Spear to Akira Blaze, which set her up for 50CENTAVOS to finish the match and retain the Light-Heavyweight Championship. The story doesn't end there, however.
After the match, when she had recovered from the Concussion King Kick, Akira decided to get some payback on Yoyo, flying out of the ring to attack him. It quickly went south for Blaze, though, as the Gambero Unit started attacking her in return, and would've done a lot more damage if not for the surprise appearance of the Flash Senshi! Princess Aika has been trying to get Akira Blaze's attention for the past few shows, and after the two shook hands after 50CENTAVOS and Toby Yoyo left the arena, I think it's safe to say that Princess Aika finally has Akira Blaze's attention.
Kaori NiGHT defeated relative newcomer Holly in what was easily a show-stealer. Ever since her defeat at Holly's hands at our FORSAKEN SuperCard Event, Kaori has said that the only weapon Holly really had was the element of surprise, and that without it, Holly couldn't beat her. It seems she was right on the ball, as Kaori picked up the win after reversing Holly's Muff Driver, giving Holly a piledriver-like move with gave her the win. It was a great match, and even in defeat, Holly has earned the contempt of her peers.
Jason Wesley picked up the victory over Mr. E with a shoot takedown pin, seemingly in desperation after a very hard-hitting match between the two men. Wesley used a wide array of submission moves and Mr. E used a variety of power moves to wear away at the other, with Jason Wesley once again getting chokeslammed off the top rope by Mr. E. These two men are quite easily on even ground in the ring, but Jason Wesley just seems to have just enough fire to come out ahead. Make no mistake, however; both of these men are destined for great things in the near future.
And in our Main Event, "The Living Venus" Colleen defeated Matt Shane to become the new New Damage Prowrestling Champion. A complete shock and surprise as I don't think anybody expected to see Colleen defeating Matt Shane for the title. What's more is, Colleen even suffered a serious injury during the match, when a back body drop from Matt Shane sent her over the ropes, tumbling to the outside of the ring, which dislocated her shoulder. The match was almost stopped at that point, but Colleen would have none of that, and she forced the trainers to pop her shoulder back into place so she could continue the match. We do know that Colleen was immediately treated after Tribulation ended, and that at the hospital, they actually had to re-dislocate her shoulder before setting it back in place again, because they needed to make sure that there were no blood vessels or nerves pinched when the trainers originally relocated the shoulder.
Colleen's victory was not a clean one, though, and it remains to see if there will be any repercussions because of her use of brass knuckles during the match. We also haven't been able to get in touch with either Colleen or Matt Shane, but we know they're both scheduled for the upcoming episode of Outbreak, so we'll hopefully get some answers there.
Well, that's it for the rundown, ladies and gentlemen. It's time to take one last look back at the Tribulation SuperCard Event, as we bring you the first of many exclusive matches, as Adam Galcian, Ryan Ramirez, and Erica Belleza of ARMADA take on Princess Aika, The Charcoal Lady, and Tuxedo Kazen of the Flash Senshi. Let's go down to the ring.
-- From Tribulation --
Referee: Joe Brown
Leaders starting this one off, with Galcian and Princess Aika standing at odds. Princess Aika seems to decide that the only way out is through, so she goes right up to Galcian and attacks! Completely ineffectively attacks! Galcian looks down at Princess Aika, who is raining blows down on his chest, stares back at his teammates, and both Belleza and Ramirez shrug. Princess Aika seems to've noticed that her attacks aren't doing much damage, so she speeds to the ropes to build up some force, hoping that Newton's Law thing works on creatures from the Flash Kingdom, and Princess Aika with the running cross body--- is caught! Galcian caught Princess Aika no problem, and stands in the middle of the ring with a bored expression on his face. He walks toward the Flash Senshi's corner and sits her on the turnbuckle, patting her head before turning away. Princess Aika makes a tag into the Charcoal Lady, and she runs in front of Galcian, stopping the guy, and Charcoal Lady points to Princess Aika, getting Galcian to turn to face her. Charcoal Lady drops to her hands and knees, right behind Galcian, and Princess Aika dives off the corner with a missile dropkick, causing Galcian to trip backward over Charcoal Lady! Charcoal Lady with a holding two leg pin; one, tw-- kickout!
Galcian gets up, and Charcoal Lady stares up at him, looking very nervous. Charcoal Lady tries to get him to engage her in a test of strength, but comes to her senses. She rolls up her sleeves, spits on her hands and rubs them together, and slaps the shit out of Galcian! Galcian's expression changes from... Well, who'm I kidding? His expression never changes; it's just got a big red mark on it now! Charcoal Lady runs to the ropes and Galcian goes after her, Charcoal Lady slides under his legs, WEDGIE! Charcoal Lady with a wedgie, a devastating move from the young blonde, and Galcian has gone from "big red mark on his face" to "all red face"! He turns around to face Charcoal Lady, and damn near kills her with a lariat! Galcian adjust his tights, grabs Charcoal Lady and pulls her to her feet. Vertical suplex from Galcian, follows with an elbow drop, takes to the ropes and hits a running elbow drop. Charcoal Lady slowly up, and Galcian with a scoop slam. Tag to Ramirez, and Ramirez pops up on the corner, diving elbow drop connects as Galcian exits the ring.
Ramirez takes to the ropes, high diving knee from Ramirez connects to Charcoal Lady's noggin, prompting some not-so-nice language from the young lady - and Princess Aika on the apron yelling "WATCH YOUR MOUTH!" Ramirez pulls Charcoal Lady up, vertical suplex-- Charcoal Lady floats over, dropkick to Ramirez' back, and Charcoal Lady tags in Tuxedo Kazen!
Tuxedo Kazen comes in on fire, drilling Ramirez with a lariat. Tux charges ARMADA's corner, knocking Galcian off the apron, but getting caught by Belleza. Tuxedo Kazen in the corner, Ramirez charges in, goes for a jumping body press, but Tux moves out of the way, crashing Ramirez onto the ropes, letting Ramirez hang there while Tuxedo Kazen grabs Belleza's head and drops down, snapping her neck off the top rope and sending her to the floor! Ramirez is still drooped across the ropes, and is helped down by Tuxedo Kazen when the masked and shaded individual whom cannot be seen because he is masked and shaded [read: Tuxedo Kazen] does his best attempt to eviscerate Ramirez with a brutal kick to the mid-section! Ramirez hits the mat like a sack of wet cement, and Tuxedo Kazen takes to the ropes for a follow up, but Ramirez rolls out of the ring before Kazen can splatter the Silver Scourge. Tuxedo Kazen hangs over the ropes and challenges Ramirez to get back in, completely unaware that Galcian is behind him until too late-- FLYING GERMAN SUPLEX FROM GALCIAN!!1
[Miles:] Oh, my! A brutal release German suplex from Galcian, sending Tuxedo Kazen flying a good five feet, landing on his neck and folding like Lann Avery, Jr. during a game of Texas Hold 'Em!
[Jr.:] Hey! I can't help it that Jenny the mail girl has a hell of a poker face!
[Miles:] Or, you're just terrible at gambling.
[Jr.:] And Galcian seems to be the legal man! How?
[Miles:] Wha-- er.. uh... Oh, right. Trios Tag Division matches follow lucha libre-style tag rules. If the legal participant for a team leaves the ring for any reason, another member of the team can step in and they become legal.
[Jr.:] Fascinating! I didn't know Jack Black had all this stuff going on!
[Miles:] ... I... honestly don't know what to say to that.
Galcian waits for Tuxedo Kazen to get up, and as Tux starts up, Galcian takes to the ropes, DECAPITATING LARIAT IS DUCKED! Tuxedo Kazen with a nasty stiff uppercut to Galcian, followed by a hard knee to the midsection, and a hard Baba chop from Tuxedo knocks Galcian down! Not for long, but another Baba chop sends him right back! Galcian up again, and a third Baba chop from Tuxedo Kazen, and he goes in for the cover; one, t-- kickout!
Galcian is back up, and Tuxedo takes to the ropes, Galcian with a shoulder throw... wait, no, he's just holding Tuxedo Kazen in the air, Galcian walking toward the ropes, and the throws Kazen out of the ring! Princess Aika is quickly in to take his place, rolling Galcian up with a schooool giiirrrll~~ one, two, th-- KICKOUT!
Galcian up, kick to Princess Aika's midsection, wild bomb attempt from Galcian, and Princess Aika starts laying in with some hard punches, still doing little effect to Galcian, but then Princess Aika goes for the eyes! That brings Galcian down! Princess Aika lands hard on top of Galcian and grabs his legs for the pin; one, two, th-- kickout!
Princess Aika quickly jumps up onto the top turnbuckle, and as Galcian gets to his feet, FLASH MAGIC!!1 NO! Galcian moved out of the way, and Princess Aika hits the mat, rolls up to her feet, and is DESTROYED by a running lariat from Galcian! Galcian tags in Belleza and leaves the ring.
Belleza goes right for the kill; Southern Cross! Belleza with the Cross STF locked onto Princess Aika, and the Charcoal Lady is in to try and break it up, stopped by the referee, giving Tuxedo Kazen the perfect opportunity to re-join the match by kicking Belleza right in her face! Ouch, man! Referee Brown still distracted by a wacky waving arm-flailing Charcoal Lady, and Tuxedo Kazen and Princess Aika with a double team on Belleza; Tux with a powerbomb as Princess Aika delivers a reverse neckbreaker!
[Miles:] Nice double-team move from the Flash Senshi, even though Tuxedo Kazen really isn't supposed to be in the ring right now.
Tuxedo Kazen heads back to the Flash Senshi's corner, grabbing Charcoal Lady to go with him, leaving Princess Aika to pin Belleza; one, two, thr-- kickout!
Princess Aika with an Irish whip, she takes to the ropes as well, and a spinning head scissors from the Flash Kingdom Princess sends Belleza flying! Belleza back up to her feet, Staley Concept [Jewel Cutter] from Princess Aika! Princess goes for the cover; one, two, th-- broken up by Ramirez and Galcian!
Ramirez and Galcian are on the attack, stomping at Princess Aika, and the pick her up before Irish whipping her. Double lariat attempt is ducked, Princess Aika off the ropes again, and Tuxedo Kazen and Charcoal Lady springboard into the ring, missile dropkicks to Galcian and Ramirez as Princess Aika does a diving roll into both men's legs! The Flash Senshi are getting pretty pumped, the three of them taunting, and going for the win! Tuxedo Kazen with the Sharpshooter on Galcian, Charcoal Lady with the NIRVANA Lock [Cross-Arm Camel Clutch] on Ramirez, and Princess Aika with the Magical Girl Triangle [Triangle Hold] on Belleza! Galcian tries to drag himself to the ropes, but his compatriots find themselves in a less favorable situation, and Ramirez starts calling for the referee that he quits, since he can't tap out! Belleza taps! Belleza taps out to the Magical Girl Triangle!
Flash Senshi win by submission
Time: 21:18
[Jr.:] And ARMADA's losing streak continues! They've been on a big downward spiral ever since FORSAKEN, but now another loss to the Flash Senshi... That won't exactly put them in line for any title shots!
[Miles:] ARMADA has a lot going for them, but they just seem to be in a big slump! Hopefully they can turn it around soon, because they have the potential to be one of the greatest groups in the history of professional wrestling!
-- Back to the Studio --
[Miles:] Tribulation was a crazy night, but that was the past! And this is the present! And the future is coming! We're gearing up for a downright huge Maelstrom in a few short weeks, and we're expecting the results of Tribulation to start showing their effects during out next Outbreak in just a few days, when Mr. E will be taking on the new New Damage Prowrestling Champion, "The Living Venus" Colleen in the main event. And we'll see you after that with the next issue of DamageCast, featuring an exclusive interview with a former New Damage Prowrestling superstar. Who? I'm not tellin'!
