Bio: Gene Starr has been through a lot in his career. He has outlasted more promotions than most people even perform in. He has been Champion, challenger, and martyr. He has also never been far from controversy.
Finding and losing homes in Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, Four Corners Pro Wrestling, My-Damn Wrestling Federation, World X Wrestling, Fire Pro National, Cross-Continental Wrestling Alliance, and many more, Gene was nothing but a wanderer - a hapless soul, cursed by fate, thought never to find what he wants most in life; stability.
Until he stormed the scene in UBL, that is. Having reclaimed the MDWF Championship in FPN gave Gene a boost in his confidence, and with that, he crashed a UBL show, saying that since he was the only person in the promotion that carried Championship gold, he was the de-facto "UBL Champion". Using a new finishing move and going by the moniker "Renegade" instead of his old "Wanderer" or "Outlaw" titles, Gene's uproarious claim sent much of the UBL roster into a frenzy, resulting in the creation of the UBL NEXUS Championship and a tournament to crown the winner, which saw Gene Starr defeat Juan Leche in the finals to validate his claim of being Champion of UBL.
