Okay. I'm going to start paying closer attention to rankings for the NDP Championship and Light-Heavyweight Championship. The question I have is, should all matches count for rankings in the Light-Heavyweight division?
All wrestlers will be ranked for the NDP Championship. But, since Light-Heavyweights and Heavyweights sometimes fight each other, should those matches have an effect on a Light-Heavyweight's standing in the rankings?
If yes, then their NDP Championship and Light-Heavyweight Championship ranking scores will be the same, but if no, then their scores will differ, based on how often they wrestle outside the Light-Heavyweight division. For instance, Akira Blaze would have a higher Light-Heavyweight Championship ranking than Colleen, despite the fact that they keep similar schedules, because Colleen regularly has matches against Heavyweights and less against Light-Heavyweights than Akira Blaze does.
It might not make much sense right off the bat, but it'll help build storylines. The rankings are gonna be posted here on the board, when when/if I get the website back up, they'll be posted there as well, on the Championship pages.
Feel free to comment, too, and give some opinions or ideas on how to make this work better.

I'd say yeah. Definite feather in the cap for a light heavyweight if they are able to down a larger opponent and they should be rewarded for it.

Well, technically, they are, in that they get a better ranking for the NDP Championship. The reason I'm asking is because, yanno, should they be rewarded in their division for beating someone outside it? Thanks for the input, tho.

Guess I didn't make my opinion clear enough.
Yeah, they should get credit towards their rank in the light-heavy division. Maybe not like instantaneous NUMBAH ONE contender status but beating a bigger opponent(s) should count towards something.
But I also wouldn't penalize light heavies that don't wrestle as much against the big fellas. I don't know what kind of system you plan on using but maybe just a slight edge for light heavies more active against heavies.
Glad to see you using rankings. I was doing it in the VWA back when I was still doing the Mat Mania stuff and even though it was kind of a hassle, it really did help with booking. Really helped fill out a card if I only had two of three programs running.

Yeah. That's another reason I'm doing it, to help build up a card. There's not nearly as many heavyweights in NDP, so, gotta make up for that somewhere! It's gonna be tricky, tho, because I'm going to start the rankings with this Supercard cycle, instead of going back and tracking everything from the past shows. I actually had started doing rankings when NDP started, but then I started booking instead of just 100% going by the game, and stopped it. And again, thanks for your feedback.

I agree with Mike - nothing really else to add. It shouldn't penalize a wrestler if they don't fight people who aren't in their weight class, but there should only be a slight boost or something...
Like, instead of 1 point for winning they get like, 1.5 or something.
