LAWL Presents LAWLIDAY 2006 to be held on Sunday December 24th, 2006 and released on DVD on Sunday January 14th, 2007! Is it that time already!? The HoLAWLidays are here and they bring a special anniversary! Namely, LAWL's first year in the public light! LAWL thanks all its fans for their support over this initial year of DVD's, Goose fiascos, dozens of Alicia Gordon RP's, and weird dress up shows! LAWL is geared for a strong 2007! But first we must finish 2006! And to do so, we are having our second public LAWLiday show ever! Five whole matches along with a special LAWLiday surprise should make this the best LAWL show ever!
Note: No wanna-be vampires or Gooses are allowed on this show!MAIN EVENT: OMG Title : Jo Ryder vs. Ruby "QUARTZ" Moreno
Heads and earLAWLobes were turned when Jo Ryder made a shocking appearance at HaLAWLoween! Not only did she come to Ruby Moreno's aid during a surprise attack by Holly after the tag team main event, but Jo also made a challenge that led to THE biggest match in LAWL history being made. Furthermore, Jo Ryder even gave Ruby the biggest compliment Ruby has ever received, when she called her Ruby "the BEST". Was Jo referring to Ruby's wrestling talent or her ability to color coordinate her geNEON wardrobe!? We think the former, but we also think putting bananas in the ring with potatoes leads to 3) PROFIT!
What can not be doubted is that this match has the makings to not only be the best LAWL of the year, but the best match of LAWL history. Will Ruby continue flipping off toll booth operators on her fast lane to success, or will she stall and have to use a service road? Will Jo Ryder be able to handle being at a LAWL show for the entire event? Or will she tap out to lunacy before her match even begins!? All these questions and plenty more will probably NOT be answered to a level anywhere near your satisfaction!
Match #2: 1337 vs. LAWL career: Grace (c) vs. Alicia GordonThe war between LMAO and uh..."Not LMAO" has escalated over the last few months and this match is one of the results. After Grace and Lupe lost to Alicia and Kat Black at HaLAWLoween, Grace became (further) enraged and decided to put it ALL on the line...for Alicia! Grace wants Alicia Gordon out of LAWL and was willing to risk her precious 1337 Title to make Alicia put up her LAWL career in this match.
Will Grace be ready for the biggest match of her career and of the LMAO movement? Will Alicia even MAKE it to LAWLIDAY due to her OG-Joshi cage match with the barbarous Juli Krieger!? Can't we just go back to the old days where Alicia, Grace, and Marie sat and watched tv while eating cookies and miLAWLk? Eww? Eww YOURSELF buster! These are serious questions, show some respect! Now I'm mad, let's get to the next match!
Match #3: Kat Black/Angelica Hyde vs. LMAO Mask/Lucky LupeSince joining the LAWL roster and the ranks of LMAO, LMAO Mask has been a mystery...an enigma...a f*ckin riddle. All we know is that she is big, strong, disturbing, and has served "some time." She also has the confidence of Grace Reyes which means she is dangerous. If she is a rookie in the ring, she will be under the guidance of the veteran Lucky Lupe in this match. If she is NOT a rookie in the ring, screw it...let's just say she is, ok? Not EVERYTHING needs to be kayfabed, you smarky smarks!!
*sighs*Their opponents are a very energetic, capable, and energ...uh, thrilling tag team with international experience and success: Kat Black and Angelica Hyde. Both of these women won their matches with gusto at HaLAWLoween. Angelica wrestled in perhaps the best match of the year against Kata Mary and Kat Black got a measure of revenge against Grace in their tag match. While Alicia Gordon got the win, it was Kat that set her up for it. We also know that Kat and Angelica have wrestled together in a tag team previously in Dragon Isle Joshi (dubbed "Hot Ninja Isle wrestling" by Orochi-O's Mr. Figaro).
Of further note is the fact that this match is yet ANOTHER round of the LMAO vs. "antiLMAO" war! Grace Reyes wants Lupe and LMAO Mask to not just win, but win DECISIVELY and VIOLENTLY.
So just who IS LMAO Mask? Will we find out at LAWLiday through a demasking or, worse, a depantsing? Will Lucky Lupe actually be able to match her impressive speed with that of Kat and Angelica? Is Lupe on ANOTHER kind of speed that should probably be tested? And do you like this new "rhetorical question" device for these LAWL previews? All these questions may be referenced slightly in the match, but probably not.
Match #4: Marie Reyes vs. Kim Cross
This match was recently announced during the latest OG-Joshi Voltage...and just who in the HELL do they think they are trying to "scoop" this report!? That comes out of my paycheque!! DAMN!
Anyway...this match has quickly become one of the most anticipated matches on the card. As one of the TOP students in the OG-Joshi "Class of 2006", Kim Cross will be facing former OMG Champion Marie Reyes. Kim Cross is coming off an impressive victory at OG-Joshi Unleashed and has reached new heights in popularity due to her "T&A" interview show. Marie Reyes is coming off two tough but competitive tag losses and is still preparing herself for an eventual OMG Title rematch, provided Ruby can retain at LAWLIDAY.
Backstage LAWL sources confirm that Marie was actually going to challenge Ruby at LAWLIDAY but stepped aside for Jo Ryder, realizing the tremendous opportunity for LAWL and the OMG Title in the process. Not wanting to lay dormant for the biggest show of the year, Marie decided to challenge who she saw as one of the best up and comer wrestlers in the world, and immediately chose Kim Cross. Don't mistake Marie's respectful stepping aside from the OMG Title match as passivity, cause she will be attempting to steal the show with Kim Cross in this match! And maybe grab a couple of office supplies too!
Match #5: A/S/L Title: Las Potatodores (c) vs. LAWLunkaLoompasSigh...and now we get to the inevitable (and hopefully solitary) "thing" match on the card. The fact that there actually is a storyline here is either LAWL's attempt at making this paLAWLatable OR rubbing salt into the wound. Hard to know which until the match happens! And even then we might not know til we have our usual Tuesday sessions on the "comfy couch!" (that's where nothing can hurt me!)
The LAWLunkaloompas broke onto the scene at the Summer SpectacuLAW...summer show and immediately were recruited by LMAO who apparently weren't stocked up enough on freaks! After beating the banana-things at HaLALWoween, the Loompas earned at shot at the A/S/L Titles that the Potatodoras have held since like 45 BC. But now the Potatodoras face their toughest challenge and may or may not lose the titles! It would be a huge feather in the caps of LMAO if they are able to gain the A/S/L Titles through the Loompas...but any talk of feathers just makes me very nervous based on previous show "incidents"...
So there you have it, kinda crazy when you think about it. A whole year of LAWL...and yet NO APOCALYPSE so far! Will that streak continue!? Or will you be watching potatoes fight orange things as you are being devoured by a demon!? Can even a DEMON stomach watching one of those matches!? We'll find out in January at LAWLiDAY 2006!!
